PinPoint is an internal POC (Proof of Concept) designed to help new and existing GM customers 'pinpoint' exactly the type of vehicle that they need when seeking out a new ride based on lifestyle needs.
Defining Comfort Features
Users can specify criteria such as number of and type of seats, entertainment and comfort features they find essential, and even specifics such as mirror preferences.
Towing Needs
Customers who frequently tow are walked through a customized experience to accommodate their towing needs so they are best matched with an appropriate vehicle.
Personality Car Match
A fun feature proposed for the app uses IBM Watson Insights which allows GM to match customers with vehicles based on their personality attributes. Customers can share a few personal details through social media feeds, or writing a short description about themselves.

Filtering Personal Preferences
Filtering results based on price, brand and vehicle type preferences, and subsequently find a dealer with the desired vehicle in stock are additional features. A built-in live chat feature is also included for chat-ready dealerships.
Digital Window sticker
Finally, a digital window sticker allows users to perform a 360º virtual vehicle walk around with easy to understand infographics in order to then locate and contact a dealer to begin the buying process.
