Prism Design System
A collection of continuously evolving reusable components, guided by clear standards, that can be assembled to build any number of applications and serve as a single source of truth for UI, while being flexible and scalable. The final Prism Design System is built using the Angular Material UI Component Library as its foundation.
Benefits include:
Gain Time: UX team can gain more time to invest in understanding users and needs, while development moves faster with reusable components
Saving up to 50-70% of project time for the entire cross-functional team
3x times faster Business Growth than competitors who don’t use a design system in development
Reduce Tech Debt
Undeniable Competitive Advantage
Purpose of a Design System:
Improve utilization and efficiency of products
Elevate user experience through visual consistency across products and solutions
Reduce friction and speed up product development cycles
Version One was created through a Zeroheight site for easy access https://zeroheight.com/86745644e/p/04fdfa-prism
Version Two was a live limited, beta component library using HTML and CSS components, Bootstrap and Javascript.

Final Implementation
Collaborating closely with UI Engineering, our UX Developers created a Monorepo that other development teams could utilize as the gold source of reusable UI components. Outlined to the left is the process of UI Kit Creation to Development Consumption.
Parts of the UI Kit Library can be seen below.
Workshops and planned communications were held and sent out for our Engineering partners for the transition of final design files from Zeplin to Figma
The Prism Design System v1 launched Fall 2021.
